I love it! I think he should design all your icons!!

Yo,
I like the new logo. A few comment:
I wouldn't have known it was a magnifying glass if you didn't say so - Perhaps make the handle look less abstract.
The word "Clicky" is small relative to the pointer/magnifying glass. To promote the Clicky brand it might be good to size the product name to receive more emphasis than the picture.
Sweetness!

I noticed it when I logged on this morning.. I like it a lot.

I like it.
Though the first time I noticed it, for a brief moment it looked like I was being flipped the bird. ;)

I preferred the old one, maybe i am just old fashioned
Jamaipanese Jul 27 2008 4:51pm
I like the magnifying glass and hand. I think you should simply use that instead of the combination of the funky 'clicky' as well. Simple text behind the magnifying glass would work great. I'd also try a bold combination of colors.
Just my opinion, though. I'm (seriously) no graphics expert.

I believe that the weakest part of the Clicky story is your brand. This iteration of the logo is substantially better than previous versions, but it still does not accurately reflect the quality of your service. From a typographic perspective, the word-mark needs a serious overhaul and the trademark could use some additional refinement as well. Do you have someone managing Clicky's brand strategy? I am a die-hard Clicky fan, and would be happy to lend you a hand. Reach out to me if you are interested (www.brimdeforest.com)

The magnifying glass is nice, but the font needs to be changed. It kind of got stuck in the 90's :)
Aleksandr Jul 27 2008 11:52pm
I agree with Brady. You're not quite there with this logo unfortunately Sean. The web design, the little icons you use, the gradients, the css etc says 2.0 to me - but the logo doesn't. It's trying to say too much, you're over complicating the message.

Where the GET? I agree at first look I thought I was getting the digital salute. It's a good start.

I would have to agree with the "not-quite-there" comments. Although I love the service and it is quite solid, the branding is the weakest point. This logo is definitely an improvement, but it seems to be a mix of new and old, and it's not quite there yet.
This is perhaps no place for (constructive) criticism, but as a graphic designer I would consider a redesign.
P.S. -- I too thought it was flipping a birdie, at first glance.

I think it is a starting point, an improvement to the past version, however, I agree that it is not quite there. It has an inconsistent visual and carries the appearance of a start-up rather than that of an established brand.

I like it. Yeah, it's not perfect, but I think it's good.
Ben Jul 28 2008 9:01am
It's really fits what clicky is doing.
Perfect.
Perfect.

I was not expecting so much feedback at all. I agree with those of you who say that branding has been a weak point of Clicky. But I think this logo is solid and I stand behind it.
Sean (Clicky) Jul 28 2008 4:16pm
I think it is a fun logo. As a designer, it is probably not the approach I would have taken had the Clicky Gods asked me to redesign their logo, but I think it suits the service quite well. I look at Clicky as more than a utilitarian analytics package. I actually have fun checking my stats with Clicky, looking at the spy, checking whose digging our stories and seeing what countries our visitors are from. This is something I can't say I ever experienced with Google or any other stats package. Clicky is fun, and it deserves a fun logo :)
Jonathan Jul 28 2008 7:57pm
Jonathon I agree, "fun" is great way to describe both the service and the logo.
Sean (Clicky) Jul 29 2008 11:38am
I also feel like it is flipping me the bird (but in a cute way)
Daryn Jul 29 2008 11:49am
Yeah, that font has to go.
Ben Jul 29 2008 2:48pm
Heh, alright... now that at least 3 of you have mentioned it feels like we're flipping the bird, that's all I can see in the logo anymore. Today it drove me insane. I doubt anyone came to the site and thought the logo was actually doing that. But when you see it out of the corner of your eye all day long, it starts to really feel like it is. I had tested it on our dev copy for several days before makign it live, and I was really happy with it. Not once did I think it was flipping me off. But it's one of those things that once you see, you can't not see it.
Luckily we had some alternatives, one of which I just put up. It's too bad because I really liked the hand. But this other one works just fine, and I don't think it could possibly be construed as something offensive :)

Oh dear, I didn't think of it till I read it here! I like the new one better. It looks polished.
Don't forget to change the Favicon - or maybe my cache hasn't refreshed just yet.
Congrats!

Yes! I like the 'revised' new logo with the arrow. I think it was clear that the other one was not actually flipping people off, but if you casually glanced at it, it could appear that way. I think I like the arrow a lot better.
Jonathan Jul 31 2008 6:38am
The new one is sooooooooo much better Sean! Congratulations
Adam Jul 31 2008 11:22am
I agree, the revised new one is much better. No at-a-glance birdies flying around Clicky...congrats, Sean.
A. Henson Jul 31 2008 2:02pm
I greatly dislike the font. The favicon magnifying glass looks like a "thumbs up". I preferred the old logo.
EG Jul 31 2008 6:41pm
Congratulation ...

Nice one - it's much better for the change. My browsers been open so it may just be me but don't forget the favicon.
