Tons of great new widgets to put on your web site

We've been hard at work on some great new widgets for you to put on your web site, and we just released them now. For a demo of all of them, check out the new goodies page. These widgets are available to all users.

I've embedded three of them below. They're all highly customizable and designed to be placed on a public web site to showcase any of your stats as you see fit.

To configure any of these widgets for your web site, simply click the "get widgets" link at the top of your Clicky dashboard. There is also a new sub-tab in the site preferences for setting up widgets.

The first 10 people who put any of these on their public web site and post a link in the comments get a free 1 year Blogger account, or $20 via Paypal if you already have a paid premium account.

Very cool. I would use the Top Searches cloud widget if the search terms can be hot to the search query on google (or engine of choice). As it is, functionality isn't real useful linking everything back to clicky site as my stats aren't publicly available.

Top Searches Widget - we do plan to add some some more options to the widgets. I agree the searches would be useful to link to Google. It would also be nice to customize the colors, since I noticed that a few of you are putting these on sites with dark backgrounds, which the widget doesn't blend in well with.

Shouldn't each widget have a seperate key? I find it very insecure.

I can just change the url from poppy to tally and see visitor stats, which many people may consider sensitive information. So people should be aware just because your putting a popular pages widget on your site that doesn't mean you are hiding any of the others.

Something to consider.

Adam that's a very good point. I was hashing the sitekey so at least your "real" sitekey (which can be used with the API and to view stats with the private link) wasn't exposed.

I just updated it so each widget has its own unique key, so now it's much more secure. Do note however that the "dashy" widget does require your real sitekey, because it talks directly to the API instead of the special widget files we created.
