I know it is possible if the user visits the tracking website the other day, as the cookies expire the next day, but I would like to know weather it is possible or not on the same day.

Specifically, I would like to track the following visitor as two different visitors.
- Visitor-A visits my tracking website from 'Google.com'
- Visitor-A visits my same tracking website from 'Yahoo.com' on the same day.

It would be very helpful do get the Clicky "Unique ID" already on site via js. Like in the new Google Universal Analytics. There you can call clientId=tracker.get('clientId'); to get a unique visitor id.

Is something similar possible or planned for Clicky?

In the next step i would appreciate to have a possibility to import (with php) a goal for this unique id.

hi there,

we saw, that not all site requests are tracked within clicky. So we changed from asynchronous code to normal code for testing.

The request within a subdomain (http-call) created a request on in.getclicky.com - but we cannot see that request in our statistics. (maybe its a cookie that will not show that).

But going to the same site (https-call) no request on in.getclicky.com will be made.

you can check this with:

http://test.pferd-spezial.de/Onlineantrag/Hundehalterhaftpflichtversicherung_NV_Versicherung_Premium.88.html

and

https://test.pferd-spezial.de/Onlineantrag/Hundehalterhaftpflichtversicherung_NV_Versicherung_Premium.88.html

asynchronous script is not working, too.

Best wishes,

As I'm sure Clicky has instructed. What it boils down to is you're going to have to do some coding, as I don't see any way doing a static goal if you want to track each membership line, as that will just track the goal. Depending on the system you are running and reporting goals you want in Clicky, it will increase in difficulty. If you are not comfortable with coding then I would hire someone to take on the task if it is a priority.

So I emailed support about how I have a membership site that has varying membership levels and I want to be able to track revenue but each membership price level still goes to the same final destination.

They told me I had to do a customer revenue goal and sent me the main instructions to do this here:

https://clicky.com/help/custom#goal

My problem is that I read those instructions and I have no idea what the heck they are talking about and how to implement it.

Can someone point me in a "plain simple english" way to understand that lol or point me to someone who may be able to do it for me?

Thanks!

I removed the widget (will figure it out later) and it looks like things are getting back to normal. Should I expect a delay in records (which I think is happening), or should it be working at real-time capacity from this point forward?

Hi, did you recently change your WP theme maybe? Some themes don't have the "wordpress footer" hook which a lot of plugins rely on to add code to the bottom of your web pages.

I don't see either Clicky's code or Google's code in your HTML so that's my best guess.

See here for how to fix:

Hello,

I've been having a weird analytics glitch on my site (www.packedsuitcase.com) since yesterday. Both Clicky and Google Analytics haven't been tracking anything but comment postings since around 6:30 last night.

I did a test and had a friend click on a bunch of pages, and post 2 comments this morning and the only thing that clicky captured was the 2 comments.

Have you ever heard of this happening before? My site plugins are all updated, and I haven't done anything- the only thing that I did around that time last night was do a panguin evaluation (http://www.barracuda-digital.co.uk/panguin-tool/). Could that have anything to do with it??

Any guidance would be much appreciated!!
Thanks,
Chris

PS- I have the Clicky Starter Plan ($29.99/yr).

Work's great!

I'm wondering if I can have multiple Clicky ads on a page.

How would I add a second tag to all my pages that's a new website id that would let me report on aggregate traffic stats in addition to the discrete channel stats with the other Clicky ID.

Does that make sense and if so, is that possible?

To be honest though yours is quite a significant span. I am at about 50% in GA and about 20% here at Clicky for my main site, thought that was a big gap, normally just take each with a grain of salt and average them out.

I've been using Clicky for 2 years, but I just recently upgraded to pro. Take a look at the changes I noticed since switching. I know clicky pro pings the visitor more often or something, but I didn't expect THIS.

Before bounce rate average: about 88%
Pro bounce rate average: about 25%

Before time on site average: about 30-50 seconds
Pro time on site average: 4 minutes 30 seconds +

Google analytics numbers are much closer to the before numbers. Which one should I trust? And more importantly, why would other people report such greater number using G-analytics and regular clicky? Would their clicky pro results be a 3% bounce rate and 10 minutes on site?

I'm just trying to make sense of this.

I'm pulling JSON data for the following types - pages,operating-systems,cities,links-domains,traffic-sources

Not anything listed in the throttled list of types - and if I attempt a couple seconds later, I get data. It seems random and I can't find a pattern on my end.

This is the response I get (in PHP array format):

Hi,

I try to log 2 goals on the same page but it doesn't seem to be working.
I first have

var clicky_custom = {};
clicky_custom.goal = { name: 'Commande payee - CB / Paypal', revenue: '100'};

and later in the code

 var clicky_custom = {};
 clicky_custom.goal = { name: 'Commande ancien client' };

but only the first goal is appearing in clicky.

Is it because we can not track more than 1 goal in 1 page ?
or something else ?

You'll need to setup a "Campaign" on the URLs used in the ads, then a "Goal" when someone completes a purchase of your product with revenue (if you don't have these already), then you'll be able to compare that X number of users came in via XYZ campaign and spent $x.xx while on the site. Then you can go back and find your CPC with your advertiser and get total ROI.

Is there a way to track how much a "click" costs when it comes to your website from another source (if you're paying for advertising).

I'd love to be able to see a running ROI of all the products that the customer has purchased in my funnels compared to the CPC.

Thanks a ton!

Yup, still an issue here too.

Most troubling is the lack of response from Clicky to acknowledge the issue and when to expect a fix.

Not very professional, considering cancelling as well.

Just yesterday I have started receiving the following message when I visit clicky.com:

If you are seeing this message, our style sheet has failed to load. Please try each of the following steps, in order, to fix it:

1) Clear your browser's cache and refresh the page.

2) Wait a few minutes, clear the cache again and refresh (one of our CDN servers may have had a short temporary outage).

3) Try accessing our site from another web browser on the same computer, AND from another computer on the same network. If either of those fixes it, you likely have software such as ad-block or Ghostery installed on the affected browser/computer. Please disable those to see if that fixes the issue.

4) Open a terminal window and type "ping cdn.staticstuff.net". Send us an email with the result.

I have tried each noted solution, but nothing has worked. When I ping cdn.staticstuff.net it just times out. When I try and directly access a file located at that address, again, it just times out, ie. https://cdn.staticstuff.net/inc/min/style221144.css

I can, however, access the Clicky Blog (http://clicky.com/blog/) which is not on SSL (not sure if that makes a difference).

Again, I have tried each of the suggested actions (even #3: access the site from another computer on the same network, etc).

Please advise.

I have never come across this before. Again, this just started happening May 17 in the late evening.

I would love it if Clicky offered a report or graph that tells me my top traffic source domains, without breaking them into categories. For example, a simple list version would be something like this:

Google: 30%
Facebook: 22%
SomeRandomSiteThatLinked: 15%
Pinterest: 19%
Other: 14%

And I could check from day to day for changing trends. A graph showing the top 5 over the last 28 days would work wonderfully.

Unless I'm missing it, there's no easy way to compile this info currently. AFAIK, you have to go to Traffic Sources, go into each category of traffic, and get the numbers from there... and then sometimes one source shows up in multiple places, so you have to add them together... it's time consuming to do on a daily basis. If anyone knows a simpler way, please let me know! In the meantime, I'm putting this out there as a feature request.
